Yes.....
But (no pun intended) you need a GPS with ISraeli maps. For instance TomTom has no maps available for Israel.
Try and download the maps before you come.

Go to their ebsite and try and download.
If you have a smartphone, you may be better off with WAZE and get a simcard here

whats a map book? you mean a regular map? we will get a god map from the car rental place.
We will be driving from Yerushalayim to up north.

To be honest - get a good map. It is more reliable than GPS usually. (One of the Carta maps is the best)
