How do I know what to look for when shopping for these.
How do I know what is quality and worth paying extra for and what isn't?

here's my review ... we have the basic down ones for over 15 years ... they're very warm ... they have lots of colours ... washing & drying them eventually causes the feathers to shed ... nothing lasts forever ... we love them ~ it gets cold in cleveland

Someone else said that the company store is online only, but I'd rather buy in person.

then go to bed, bath & beyond ... they have coupons
shop macy's - but they might be expensive
a blanket is basic though - what do you hope to find out by buying it in person - it's not like you can try it on for size ?
