I need to buy my daughter a pair of shabbos shoes for the winter. What color would you get for a toddler?- black, silver, gold...?
(her clothes are all colors, but I only want to buy one pair of shoes)

Any color that she would like. My daughter's (5 1/2) last few pairs of shoes have been sparkly pink, purple, and pink again. She now has black and white.
Would you let her pick the color?

Then I would say whatever fits her the best and is the best for the winter: durable and warm.

All toddlers shoes should be the color of dirt.

black is simplest. But gold or silver can also work well.

Not for anything would I buy a child shoes that aren't a deep color. Light color shoes will look like spit in no time. Of course if you don't mind your child looking like spit or have the funds to replace shoes that look disreputable long before they're outgrown, by all means go for the glitter.
Personally I think glittery shoes look cheap.

Black patent is nice for winter. I think silver is more summery.

Pewter is nice....darker than silver so not summary. Matches with anything (warm and cold colors) because it's in-between silver and gold. More fun than black.

I would try to match as many outfits as possible. If you're still undecided, just find a pair you really like, and get whatever color they sell.

Not really--especially not for a toddler. A dark grey would work better than silver, though.
