I often write a true but somewhat funny poem about Midos/life that I work around a Pasuk from the Megila or Chumash or Pirkei Avos. Is there a Pasuk that connects to Up/Down? The main item Im giving connects to going up/going down.
TIA

Haman wished to hang up Mordechai and that resulted in his downfall.

"Sheva yipol tzadkik v'kom"
You can put in a bottle of 7up too....anything with #7, 7-11 cup with something in it can be your holder...."com-pote"...getting a little corny....

1. bowing down to Haman
2. maybe you can play on the opposite aspect of it and bring in that the Jews went "miyagon l'simcha, u'm'eivel l'yomtov" (v'nahafoch hu).
3. from hallel-m'kimi mei'afar dol mei ashpos yarim evyon-Hashem raises up those who are low. Not exactly related to Purim but I'm sure you could connect it, like maybe Haman got demoted (or rather killed) and Mordechai got promoted...Esther, an orphan girl became Queen. Connected to this is yeshuas Hashem k'heref ayin.
4. Olam hafuch ra'isi--we live in an upside down world, where people who look like tzaddikim might really be reshaim and people who look like reshaim might really be tzaddikim, and only Hashem knows the truth; who we are on the inside is what counts.
5. a general middos thing-don't put your friend down to make yourself go up.
6. There's a time and place for everything-sometimes it's appropriate to be up I.e. happy and sometimes it's appropriate to be down. Ein lecha adam she'ain lo sha'ah v'ein lecha davar she'ain lo makom, pirkei avos 4:3.
Some random thoughts!
