I always want to give things that ppl don't have to get rid of asap because of pesach.

all KLP chocolate gets put away for pesach. We also save the mini grapejuice for the seder for the kids.

In EY we often get MM that are KLP or almost. But it's easier here (kitniot stuff all has a hechsure). I put it away for the week before Pesach mostly. Maybe if you are in the states give snack things that are kitniot if you want a "theme." I'm sure it will be appreciated in that last week when you don't want chamatz running around the house, but you don't want to eat only potato chips either!

Also, if you're giving such a quantity of mishloach manot to each person that it will still be around a month later, you're overdoing it.

Huh. I keep wanting to give KLP mm with everything wrapped in foil, and to dress in cleaning clothes, toting brooms, feather dusters, etc. Every year all I hear on Purim is how folks are going to start Pesach cleaning the very next day....if they haven't already started!
