Kosher formula on wic

I'm pregnant and on wic. when I have my baby I want to request part formula and part breastfeeding because I'll be going back to work. what kind of formula do I request? what do I need to know about requesting kosher formula? thanks.

You cant get cy formula on wic. They give tge regular enfamil unless you have a doctors note

Enfamil is kosher. It's not chalav his real, but it is kosher.

I believe WIC will also provide you with a pump if you want to go that route.

BTW your insurance is now supposed to provide you with a pump.

omg what do you do if you need CY formula? you can get a dr. note for "religious reasons"?

A doctor's note is for medical reasons. Ask a rav about this - he may hold that for a baby it may not be as important because it is necessary for the child's health, you can't afford it, and it is hard to get the cy version.

if Cholov Yisroel milk is that important for you, you have to payup. My first kid was nursed for almost a full year then ended up on Nutramigen. my husband was so excited the second one was able to drink regular CY similac off the shelve that he had a huge smile going to the grocery till he saw the prices Wink we ended up switching him to powder based formula because I was reacting to his milk based..... there wasn't a CY powder option at that point.
