considering that we wish people shanah tovah from Rosh Chodesh Elul forward, I think there's ample precedent. Not to be confused with an ample President, which is not really such a good thing to have.

I hope it's not purim yet. I just started on my kids costumes today.

Purim is only one day. I guess it's not enough, so people want to wish it more than one day.

I still feel like Purim is far away. I was so confused when we had a shaloch manos delivered to us last night. Someone ordered for us from America to be delivered in Israel, I don't think they realized that it would come this early though. Definitely caught me off guard.

Hey, I've also been hearing it since Purim Katan -- and for sure since Rosh Chodesh Adar II! I think it is just because it is the "season" already, so people wish it in advance. Certainly here in Israel Purim is in the air -- every ad I have seen recently has some sort of Purim motif (even ads for non Purim related items!)

Greenfire, are you actually concerned about an excuse to drink a few extra L'chaims??? shock LOL (sorry, don't know how to do emoticons as well as you)

It's been Purim since Rosh Chodesh here, DS has been mishe mishe-ing since RC Adar Aleph.

I'm part of the Purim events committee in my community, so I've been knee deep in Purim for months.

Yeah, Taft was horrible. Didn't he get stuck in his own bathtub? (Probably a fabrication.)

Bless you, DRMom, I was trying to recall which one was the real hefty Pres and was too tired to even google it.
