He doesn't want to dress up, but I plan on it, along with my kids. Do your husbands dress up for Purim? As what? Maybe I need a 'manly' costume. Any ideas?

Did you ask him why he doesn't want to get dressed up?
Do your in laws get dressed up? Could be he isn't used to adults dressing up, and prefers not to.
Ask him if he'd agree to wearing a big clown bow-tie or something along that spirit. That way he doesn't have to feel as if he's all dressed up, yet there is something diff. to make it look as if he's not all dressed 'as regular'

I know - it's so funny - we have to meet sometime...but I'm sure we don't know each other - I live in E"Y and have been to where I've gathered you live exactly once - for a friend's wedding, and it was her dh who was from there - not her!
And since I hate posts that change the subject, I'll add s/t on topic:
Suggesting a manly costume is a good idea, or maybe s/t that fits with your theme but doesn't require much dressing up on his part. (E.g. E/o dresses as prisoners and he dresses as the warden and only needs to hold a big set of keys - saw that once, but it was the mom who was the warden!) A funny accessory instead of a costume is a good idea too. But after that, if he doesn't go for it, I say drop it. He's an adult and doesn't have to dress up if he doesn't want to! If you need to feel he's in costume, tell p/p he's dressed up as a DH!
