I live in Argentina and can't get a lot of the kosher sauces and stuff you can get in NY. I need recipes that can be made from scratch. Herbs, spices and veggies all work really well. I can get most vinegars, ketchup, plain old tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, coke...a lot of the basic stuff. I can't get balsamic vinegar, no flavored bread crumbs (although I can make from scratch but it's easier not to) cant get toasted sesame oil, no teriyaki, duck sauce or anything like that. I can get soy sauce but I personally don't think its the same as the American one. Anyone have any good recipes?

I take equal parts soy sauce and teriyaki sauce, put it in the food processor with several garlic cloves and some brown sugar, and make teriyaki wraps with it.

(make some rice and put the leftover juice in it).

do you have the recipe book "what's cooking?"
a lot of their recipes have basic basic ingredients and I haven't yet tasted something from there that didn't come out delicious (and I'm a picky eater)

herbed chicken is good-an herb rub first, and red wine splashed onto it.
Simple and classic.

We like to broil chicken, on both sides, and finish off with paprika, pepper, and some ginger sprinkled on top.

The good old Hungarian Paprikash! Onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and oil!
Throw in cubed potatoes for a hearty meal!

any combination works.... I like rosemary, sage, dill, fennel, tarragon, basil, thyme...
plus ground black pepper (ground coarse) and a bit of sea salt.
