can anyone tell me where these Facebook stores get their children's clothes from. I understand they are from Chinese distributors I would just like to order from distributor directly.

Alibaba is related to Aliexpress, but it's really geared towards wholesalers. So, you're not likely to be able to purchase anything in reasonably small quantities. If you do want 1000 skirts though, you can get them customized. Dealing with Alibaba is very complicated in general though.
Aliexpress is an offshoot of Alibaba, and is intended for selling directly to international customers. It's very easy to use, but it's definitely not as big as Alibaba.
