Looking for ideas for a 2 day trip not too far from Lakewood (max 2-3 hours away)
We like outdoor / nature type trips and have a few young children.
We also need a minyan.

Lancaster is one of the most kid friendly trips near lakewood. Lake Tobias is great. Both Harrisburg and lancaster have a minyan.
We have also had a great time in CT. but don't know about minyan. Gillette castle, Boat ride, train ride, ferry to sheffield island.
Scraton area - there is a minyan. Haven't done everything on this list: Easy Delaware Water gap hikes (Dingman falls, George W. Child's Park) - you can call them for more suggestions, Claws 'n Paws or Snake Park, Lockawana coal mine, Quiet Valley Farm.
