table hockey we called "knock-hockey" (I liked it!)

is this air hockey?

what's four corners? four girls on four corners of a sidewalk box? that had another name too, didn't it?

I think we called it "four square" don't remember how to play it, though

Quote:

what's "fruit basket" Tefila - rings a bell, can't think of what it is

the way we played it: when everyone is assigned a different fruit and someone in the middle calls the name of a fruit, the people with that fruit have to switch seats while the middle person tries to get a seat in the meantime. If the person calls "fruit basket" everyone has to switch seats. Popular bnos game. Also played with a shabbos theme.

Quote:
and how do you play frozen statues?
someone sings, everyone runs around until the singing stops, everyone freezes, first person to move is out?

Quote:

* remember in Bnos playing, "I Went On a Trip to Israel and in my Suitcase I took ..."

yes

Quote:

Card Games like:
*War
*Spit (a favorite!)
*building houses out of cards

spit was definitely a favorite!

We played fruit basket as "Chulent" -- each person was either meat, beans, or potatoes, and when the person called "Chulent" everyone had to change places.

Four square is also called boxball. The boxes are numbered 1-4 and four is where you enter, one is where you serve...you bounce the ball from box to box and if you bounce it out or let it bounce twice, you're out and a new person comes in and the positions shift...it was really fun! I don't know why but it was super popular!

I'm not sure whose day you're referring to here, but I'm __ years younger than you and the game sure has changed from when I played it! I get so confused watching kids play:)

That's so interesting, I have never heard of that.

When I was little it was stickers, and the best kinds to have were "oilies" or "sparklies".
