I am a first time mommy in need of some help. I have an almost 4 year old DS who is k'ah a smart boy but has no zitzflesich as his playgroup morah told me last week. What are some age appropriate ways to work on this at home? He does not have the greatest impulse control but it's hard for me to figure out what is normal and what is not.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can you clarify a little? Is it just impulse control? Does he not have age appropriate attention to structured activities? Does he have age appropriate attention to self selected activities?

Just so you're aware, age appropriate attention span for a four year old is around 10 minutes.

Wow! Are you Serious? Not OP, but I cannot believe this!
I demand way too much from 4 yr olds, but maybe it varies according to the kid.

Yes I am Smile That doesn't mean that some kids aren't capable of more, but it is not expected developmentally (you would be surprised how many teachers and professionals don't realize this...)
