I LOVE mine .
classic tall black with fleece liner ,works as well as a snow boot in a pinch .
I also have the short chelsea boot but like the tall ones better ..so DD stole the short ones 
I find tall looks more flattering on most calves (sp)

I love short rain boots. I need warmer boots for the snow anyway. The tall ones are stifling in regular rain., and shorties are stylish right now.

I guess is personal taste , but if you op are petite , the shorties are more proportionate/cute unless you have very large calves .
