My husband has clinical depression. It effects our lives our home in big ways. Not all of the time, but it effects us.
Sometimes it seems that one of my children could be exibiting signs of being a bit deppressed. I am embarrassed to go to the pediatrician. I mean, is that the route I would be going if I wanted her to be avaluated? Its just effecting one child, but Im nervous about everyone.

A 6-year-old can have clinical depression, yes. But it's also possible that he just picked up behaviors or speech patterns from depressed dad. Depression in kids often presents differently than adults. Don't be embarrassed to ask your pediatrician for a referral about this, that's what they're there for.
