Is there a hotel anywhere near Toronto that is shabbos friendly?
(It can be Niagara falls (canadian side), Hamilton or Toronto or anywhere else that's not TOO far off from these places.)
We need it to be walking distance from a shul and we need regular keys (not cards) which is the major problem.
TIA

According to this page, there's a 4 Points by Sheraton in Niagara Canada that's seconds away from Chabad, within an eiruv, and has Shabbos keys available. |
We called them- no minyan this time of year ...
Thanks though !

I think in Hamilton the holiday inn is Shabbos friendly- front door automatic but I know people just speak to yr management about that. Id say it's a 15-20 min walk to the shul

You could contact the shul in Buffalo and ask which nearby hotels offer Shabbos keys. I believe there are several nearby hotel options. Otherwise, Toronto is huge, so I would assume there's an option there, but hopefully one of the locals will chime in with more concrete info.

Hi we aren't Americans and don't have visas to go to the US so Buffalo is not an option.
I actually called Toronto Chabad and they said there are no hotels near shuls (walking distance for shabbos).
Very frustrating.
Thanks for trying to help!

http://www.visitorsinn.com/index.php That is the link for the visitors inn. I don't know about shabbos keys but I do know that a lot of people I know have stayed there who are shomer shabbos. I think the eruv goes past the hotel, but I can not confirm that 100%

You'll love Shabbat in hamilton!!!!
Call the Adas Israel (adas israel.ca) and ask for Rabbi DANI or Tova Green. Pretty sure they'll know what's up with the hotel since they recently had a simcha.
