We are American and making my son a bar mitzvah in Israel. He is having an Aliyah L'torah at the kotel and then a breakfast in a restaurant. How far in advance do Israellis inspect their invitation. If the invitation is just to the parents what is the chance they will bring along their kids? It's a regular school day. Do Israelis tend to respond?

Mazel Tov.
People usually give out invitations about 3 weeks in advance. Americans RSVP, Israelis not so much but it is becoming more popular.
Good chance that they won't bring school age kids if it's a school day but may bring babies/toddlers.

Though if they feel close enough they may consider it worth it to bring the family.
