1. What kinds of jobs can one get with a BS in Biology (with no additional further education)? Where and how would one go about beginning to look for such jobs?

2. What are possible future careers that start with a BS in Biology? Brainstorming here. I'll start: Doctor, dentist (?), research/PhD in biology subspecialty, what else?

BS only: Research lab technician. Check with major research hospitals and universities.
Government science/technology entry-level jobs. Check with the individual agencies such as OSHA, EPA, FDA and their state/local counterparts.

Thanks! Please keep them coming!
Also if anyone knows salary/benefits for jobs at the BS level or the others it would be nice to know.

I hire a lot of these - and going along with the OSHA suggestion, look at environmental safety within large corporations, we hire a lot of BS in bio folks for these type of jobs. Also anything in research, especially if you have bench experience. Honestly our research techs don't make a bad salary considering they only have a bachelor's, and the salary can go up quite nicely with years of experience (and a master's you can get while working).

Mille, who do you do hiring for? Can I send you a resume?! What's the "not bad" salary range for research techs (based on what google turned up it didn't sound like a promising type of job at all?)
