Also as a suggestion - when you do go into your boss to talk about a raise, come prepared with a list of what you have improved/accomplished over the past year. Show them you're worth more money!

Ppl have seen great yeshuos
Dh says he found me after he lit for 40 days

Finally, some actual information instead of snarky responses...
2 questions: what kind of candle? Like a regular shabbos candle or a yahrzeit candle? Also, how does it work on shabbos?

op of other thread here
I lit the mini half hour candles every day, and longer lasting travel candles every Friday before lighting regular candles (so that they would burn into Shabbos).
Like I said on the other thread, we did all other regular hishtadlus, such as doing a good job, presenting the case well, regular davening etc. Just felt like we needed to do a little something extra.
