as long as you're not cold, why not? I'd say a darker color would be just fine. I have a chiffon gown that is lined pretty heavily, I wouldn't hesitate to wear it to a winter wedding.

I don't know what's "in" but personally I think the color and overall style of the gown are more important.

If it was a dark color, yes. (black, navy blue, dark grey, maroon, burgundy, plum, etc)

If theres any way you can add a flower or belt, something made of velvet, that looks good on the gown, then its automatically wintry.

Agree with above posters--as long as it is not a pastel it is fine, and even better would be if you add a velvet jacket or fur collar etc.
