My pediatric told me to take my 2 yr old dd to a checkup but when I called the dentist office they said it's too early
When did you take you toddler to the dentist for the first time?

Three unless I see something beforehand that may need attention.
Start brushing from the first tooth though.

I took my son at 18 months. My dentist says to bring from age 1

I heard by age two they should get a checkup. My ds had nursing decay at that age, so he for sure needed to go. It was very noticeable. If you don't see any decay or crankiness from pain, then maybe it can wait.
