Ok, here is my dilemma. My ds (3) has for the lat 2 weeks or so, had seasonal allergies. His nose is a little runny all the time, quite often justa tickle. Neither Benedryl nor Claritan seem to help...

He is constantly needing to wipe his nose and asking for a tissue. At first I was wiping his nose for him and then I said he had to do it himself. This became a great big hissy fit over and over. Yesterday I casually asked his teachers at daycare if he wipes his nose himself there or asks them and they were like "For sure he does it himself. He knows where the tissues are and where to put them after."

So I was very firm last night that this was somethng he has to do himself. (Pls don't think me cruel but it is really hard to accomplish anything like dinner or dishes if he is at me every 30 seconds to wipe his nose!) Well, let us just say that last night was a less than pleasant evening with one tantrum after another.

Any advice!!!

This is obviously about more than the nose. He used to love to get dressed himself and now always wants me to dress him...I think it has to do with not wanting to be a big boy. He has a 17 month old sister and we have a baby on the way...

Thanks all
