Second Life has become this crazy virtual world where users can actaulyl run business make serious money! In one of my courses, we all had to follow our professor's avatar through second life, it felt very strange. I'd be suprised if there isn't a Chabad house! My professor acts as one of the librarians in second life and I just heard that the library school at CSU San Jose is running parts of their program (or courses or somthing like that) through Second Life. My professor even maintains office hours through Second Life for us! It's amasing for a few minutes but it takes a long time to learn how to maneuvre and do things, besides the program is usually too large to run well on the average computer. But get ready to hear a lot more about SL (second life) I had never heard of it before April nd now I feel like I see something about it almost everyday...granted I am a librarian so maybe that has something to do with it!
