Hi, I'm fairly new to Imamother - and posting anonymously because of the nature of the post. My husband and I are not FFB. My family has recently lost an important part of our income. The Cheder we are sending to now is great, but very strict about paying. We already have reduced tuition, but with several children, it's still our greatest monthly expense. We have been warned before that if we don't pay our kids will be kicked out. With our new amount of income we will have just enough to keep a roof over our heads, and pay utilities. (Just fyi, we already live in the smallest apartment possible for our family size, we already get food stamps/benefits that we can Sad , I make most of our food from scratch, my kids already wear loads of hand-me-downs - you get the picture.) We don't have the skill set to increase our income immediately - that will take time and money. We are humiliated and tired of running around like beggars to askanim. Is there anywhere in Monsey that will take people with no money?

Since you said cheder I will assume YSV may not be an option. I know tsv reffers parents to Kupas Ezra and other places for help with jobs.

I know families in Bais Dovid that barely pay any tuition because they cant.

Kupas Ezra would be a great resource, they will not allow your child to be kicked out because of money.

You should reach out to Rabbi Maschinsky from Kupat ezra, he is a tzaadik.

OP here,
Thank you for the recommendation -We will b"n ask about Kupas Ezra, and look into YSV.
Our Rov has directed us to askanim (who have helped get our current tuition price as low as it is -$800/mo), but doesn't have direct resources.
