Yehuda - Mordechai was called "Hayehudi"
Shaul - ancestor of Mordechai
Moshe - Moseh Rabbeinu's bris was on Purim
Simcha - marbim besimcha

I like Yitzchak Mordechai.

Yitzchak Baruch (from Baruch Mordechai haYehudi)

Daniel hanavi was in the purim story, only with another name. Trying to remember his name. But either way, Daniel is another purim name.

I also think it sounds the best and is the most straightforward Purim-ish name.
Bear in mind though that this was the name of a very well known Israeli general come politician who was convicted of s-xual assault about 10 years ago.

What about Yitzhak Nissim? He was the Sephardi chief rabbi during the fifties and sixties.

I am due two weeks before Purim but will likely be late so it will be before Purim, iy"H. Question: Where does it mention "Daniel Hanavi" in the megillah? Thanks.

He is not mentioned in the Megillah by name. Esther communicated to Mordechai through Hasach, who is said to be Daniel.

According to chazal Hatach - the go-between who carried communications between Esther and Mordechai - is Daniel.

Binyomin. If you can use Yitzchak as a middle name I like Binyomin Yitzchak better than Yitzchak Binyomin. My Purim boy is Binyomin because Mordechai and Yehuda were names we couldn't use due to our parents.

I think Yitzchok Mordechai sounds great.

Mordechai has the same number of syllables as Yehuda, Binyomin, and Daniel so I don't know why you think those names are better.

Please don't name your baby Hasach :-)

Another vote forYitzchok Mordechai.

Also, keep in mind that 7 Adar is Moshe Rabeinu's birthday and yahrzeit, so depending on the timing, the name Moshe might work well.

(Though I don't know if it was Adar 1 or 2)

I like yitzchak mordechai, but I also like the name yair. (Mordechai ben yair shimi ben kish)
You can also use Yaakov (shoshanas Yaakov)

I'm the one who asked about "Doniel" in the megillah since we're strongly considering that name. Thanks for explaining the source in the Megillah of the name.

We called my Purim baby Bigson

Well, he was quite large!

But at his bris we gave him the name Asher- fortunate

we felt that fortunate to have him, and it is the feeling we have on Purim
