Which camera should I buy (up to $250)?

What do you plan to use it for? Do you or DH have a phone with a good camera? These days, many of the cheaper cameras aren't made to last, and aren't much better (if at all) than a good cell phone camera.

Just recreational pictures. I am not happy with the cell phone pics.
