The people that were discussing it were saying their boys end school on the 29th- half a day. (Chassidish yeshivas)

Interesting how it's so off this year. My kids end school on the 22nd and camp starts on the 27th. I can't remember a time when camp started before people went to the country.

Yes. My girls in a non chassidish schools end on the 21st and boys in a chassidish school end on the 29th. But the chassidish camps begin July 4.
I wonder if everything is so pushed off because of shavous?

That makes sense. It would feel a little strange to leave to camp/country right after Shavuos. I'm thinking of going up on the 26th - I think people like to pack in an extra weekend in the country but I'd rather wait until after the weekend, go opposite the traffic, and have time to get settled in before needing to make Shabbos. Will have to see what develops between now and then. June is going way too quickly.
