Anyone have success stories with improving cellulite? (I won't be greedy and ask about getting rid of it entirely!) The advertisements for cellulite 'magic' creams and the such seem to be useless. I am skinny so it's not an answer to just lose weight.

Bumping this cuz I would love to know.
Any of you had success with removing cellulite? How? I am so desperate that I am ready to do anything it takes. I just want to know if anything works or I am just wasting my time. I do exercise a lot, not really helping much. Please, let me know.

You really can't get rid of it. Cellulite isn't a thing in and of itself, it's when the normal body fat you have pushes through the collagen fiber "net" in your skin, which leads to the dimpled look. You can try retinol or massage to reduce the appearance temporarily, or maybe get it lasered, but there's no way to eliminate it. "Cures" are just going to waste your money. If you lose body fat and gain muscle then you'll have a lessened appearance because there's just less fat in general, but even skinny women have cellulite so that's not going to make it go away either.
Sorry. I wish there were better news.

I am also thin and fit, but I have some cellulite.
Models are tan or get spray tan, which hides some of the cellulite. They also use photo shop, and they someone's use makeup on their whole bodies (shoulders, butt, legs) for contouring and that perfectly impossible shimmer.
Also, it's genes... I think some people have better genes than others...

I wouldn't look to models for any advice or suggestions. They have no cellulite and also have no lives.

I'm not looking to be a model. I'm just trying to figure out if there is or isn't a way to get rid of cellulite. I know there's a way to get breast enlargements etc. All the models do it. It doesn't mean I'm going to do it. I just like to know the possibilities.

Sorry, Reesa, I didn't mean to imply you were.
But I would say that it's not likely we'll get any practical insights from how models do things.

They have no cellulite and also have no lives.[/quote]
How do you know this? I knew some models whose lives were just fine.

Consistent exercise makes a huge difference.
For a temporary fix, self tanner makes it look a better.

I am genuinely happy to hear this. I've read enough articles about celebrities, and these are actresses, not models, and their typical diets and exercise regimens that I can't imagine models have it easier.

Exactly: photoshop and youth. You can often google pictures of models and celebrities without makeup or photoshop and see what they really look like including cellulite. Women in their late teens and early to mid-twenties may be free of it, but most beyond that are going to have some.

Sorry, I just saw you wrote you exercise a lot.
Can I ask what kind of exercise you do? I was told toning should come after cardio, when the muscles are warmed up.

I've seen success when squatting or doing lunges with heavy weights. (My gym has a machine that holds the bar, and I stack heavy weights on the ends.) It will make your butt more perky and round (but I personally like that) but it definitely improved cellulite. Obv balance with cardio and eating healthy.
