My job earns just below the cutoff for Medicaid and food stamps. Dh was looking for a while and finally found a job. It is for 2 months for starters and after that may be either extended or take him on as an employee. Unless/until they decide to employ him long term, there are no benefits. Nothing. He starts immediately and gets paid I think every two weeks.
How does this work? How and At what point do we report change, and will it be hard to get back on if the job doesn't continue? How do we get insurance for just a couple of months at a time, without breaking the bank, quickly enough to not have an interruption when we get bumped off Medicaid?

I dont know.how foodstamps works but you should be able to bounce straight from medicaid to obamacare without a lapse in coverage. If u r located in ny call yeled vyalda and they should be able to help u.
