Um, any place with a minyan is going to have lots of other people there too.

Bring ten guys and a Torah with you on the condition that they don't speak to you.

Does Waterbury still have a kosher bed and breakfast? There are minyanim there and access to kosher food, without having to stay in a large crowded hotel..?
I think there's also a kosher bed and breakfast in Newport RI. Not sure if they have minyan all year long though.

Touro synagogue in Newport has a minyan. Check it out an godaven.com.
Try hotelsnearshuls.com. We stayed in Tenafly and in Englewood NJ. Anywhere that's away from home is a change of scenery.
Are you looking to go away for shabbos? What activities do you like?

Hamptons is gorgeous. Near the beach, gorgeous mansions all around and I'm pretty sure there's a jewish community where your husband can go daven.

What do you mean by "decent" minyan? Is this a certain heshkofa? Or a large crowd?
