my dd has gum in her hair, we don't have gum at home I have no idea where it came from any way does any one have any ideas how to get it out without cutting her hair? thanks!

sorry, but I don't think there's a way around it...it's gonna have to be cut out. Try to pull out as many strands as possible then cut of what absolutely doens't come out.

Don't CUT use oil any oil would work prefrebly cooking oil though. IT WORKS then use vinegar diluted to get rid of the grease been there done that, hatzlocha

You could also try peanut butter which is gonna make the gum come.

Use ice to freeze the gum, it should come right off.

I know the peanut butter and ice sound weird but they really work, I remember my ma doing it to us when we were younger...

yes indeed ice, peanut butter, vaseline, slowly take out as much hair as you can ... then you might have to cut just around whatever cannot come off ... but just be patient ...

thanks every one! it came out. I didn't have any vinegar though I used dish washing liquid and it worked.

I was trying to grow her hair out, she has very short hair it would have looked odd if I cut it
