So I made the best chrain, but I felt it needed a little more sugar..........I added in 1/2 cup.....and tasted.... 
I put in salt instead!
Can I remedy this?

Do you have more beets?
I would say to add more beets and sugar

The thing about salt is that it doesn't multiply straight. You use less as the volume goes up. So basically you have two choices. 1) if there was salt in the recipe, divide the half cup by that amount and increase the beets and horseradish by that number plus one of recipes. Or, throw it out and start over.

so how many teaspoons in a 1/2 cup of salt, so not worth it! I guess I will start again! Oh well........

There are 8 tbsp in a half cup. So multiply by three. 24 teaspoons
How many were in the original tecipe?

The thing is that horseradish is so expensive that you'll waste less by throwing it out than by buying more....
