my macaroni is boiling. I will add cheese. is there anything else I can add to make it more interesting or filling or less plain?

tomato sauce with spices. Milk makes it creamier.

Mixing in some salsa is always good. You can also reserve some of the water that you boiled the noodles in, add some of that to the finished pasta and that can also make it creamy. Milk's also good.

In the old days, I would always add some sour cream.

fresh garlic, marinara sauce and use mozzerella cheese ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

and of course pepper garlic powder and oregano ...

thanks all. so far mac and cheese seems ok plain. I think I'll use one of thse ideas for before the fast.

I make a cheese sauce, mix it with the macaroni and bake with tomato on top. but you could add any cooked veggies to the sauce (carrots, mushrooms)

If I am making just for the kids I add cheese, tomato puree, spices, garlic powder, pepper.

I add some oregano, basil or thyme with garlic to my mac and cheese and tomato sauce.
