If you've taken the Thalys, can you tell me if it's convenient to leave from the central Smsterdsm station , not the airport, and is the station in Antwerp centrally located? Thanks!
Do I have to buy tickets ahead of time?

I have never taken it from Amsterdam Central only from the airport. But you can ususaly always buy it in the station.
Antwerp central is very centrally located - it's a few minutes from the Yiddische area
anywhere specific you want to go?

Convenience depends on where you are before the train departs. You can buy a ticket at the station - but usually you can get some discount if you purchase online.
