So, I buy a log and boil it, then cut it up an freeze it in pieces that are big enough to cut into 6 slices- me and husband x 3 meals of shabbos.
I defrost it and it tastes fine- but, what about the carrot for on top?
Can I freeze that too?
Feels a waste to boil a pot for half an hour to get carrot pieces..
Any tips?
And how long does it actually take for carrots to boil?
I even slice them already before I put them to boil so it should take 'quicker'- but I don't know how long to do it for anyways....!

If you're okay with the consistency of frozen cooked gefilte fish I bet you wouldn't mind the cooked frozen carrot either.

When I've frozen the fish, I use a different garnish. A hollowed out cucumber chink filler with chrein looks cute. Add a red pepper end filled with mayo.
