The label says to remove the hood before washing the coat but how do I clean the hood? Can I wash it on a gentle cycle? Anyone have experience with this? I'd rather not dry clean.

It's not meant to be washed. If it has to be washed it should go to a dry cleaner who has experience with animal fur.
