My 18-month old son is refusing to eat. I"m happy if I manage to push in a slice of bread and a banana in a day. The doctor is concerned.
Is there anything that can be done, or do I just have to wait until he outgrows this craze??

welcome to the club.
have a 17 month old, and is the worst eater.
you just have to get them when they are really hungry, and make sure you feed them wholesome nutritious things then.
I know that ds is the hungriest in the morning, when he wakes up.
I feed him oatmeal, string cheese, and sometimes bread, avacado...
He then does not eat normally the rest of the day.
now in the summer its worse, since he wants to drink the whole day.

find what he likes ... or better yet he will tell you ... even if tends to be the same thing over and over and over ... like cheerios or pb&j ... it'll pass ...

I'm in the same boat. My son is 2 yrs, 1 month and just yesterday was weighed. He ways the exact same thing he did 6 months ago. He simply wont eat, and has no favorites.

yeah. Iy"H it'll pass with no problems. my mom said I went through a phase where I only ate carrots...even started to have an orange tint to my skin. she thought she was seeing things till she took me to the dr and they started laughing.
my 17 month old and my 3 yr old have some serious phases with eating. green's advice is right on the ball!
