My kids are very bored on Shabbos. I live on a block that has some other frum kids, but for whatever reason, they are not friends with my kids. I find it very difficult to make friends in a big place like Brooklyn. We used to live in a smaller town and it was easier. They don’t have Shabbos programs here for kids, what can I do to help them meet other kids? I find it hard to meet people here myself but I am worried more about the kids.

We make friends in the summer, going to the park every day, and then carry it over to the winter by having a play date here and there and sometimes going over Friday nights before the meal. Afternoons are way too short right now, by the time it's long enough for visits we're playing outside again.
We actually hardly have any friends on out block. Most of them live a bit further away.

Is there no Pirchei anywhere in your area? Where in Brooklyn are you?

There are quite a number of Bnos groups in Brooklyn and there should be Pirchei groups too. Call Agudah for listings.
