So my doctor, in trying to diagnose me properly and figure out what foods if any are disturbing my digestive system, asked me to keep a daily food diary for the next month. I am to write down everything I eat and if/when I don't feel well. I am totally overwhelmed by the thought of writing down everything I eat on a daily basis for 30 days. I am also very confused because I don't necessarily eat "clean" or foods with only single ingredients. Even the fresh foods I cook might have multiple ingredients, spices, etc. Am I to write down every single component of the food I eat?

I find it's easier to pick up the phone and tell someone, hey, I'm gonna have this now, or, I just ate this. The other person can jot it down for you.
Is there anyone in your life who would be a willing participant?
