What can you tell me about the franklin institute? Is it kid friendly? Hands on? Or more observation type?

Please Touch museum (but park in the parking lot, not on the street. We made that mistake and our car was broken into and our suitcase stolen)

Wow, thx for that heads up- what age is that geared for? How much time to expect to spend there?
Anyone know of good ice skating place? Or indoor sports place ( aside for funplex)?

I'd say up to age 8 but depends on the kid. It's really large. I personally could only stay 3 hours but my 3 year old could have stayed much longer

Pls touch. ... up to age 6
Eastern State Penitentiary is not good at all for little kids so maybe split up. It's great for teens+
Franklin Institute is awesome even for little kids. Lots of hands on
Also Camdem Adventure Aquarium
Philadelphia Zoo
We did elmwood park zoo (much smaller but close to animals)
The mint, liberty bell, constitution center etc if you are interested in history

Franklin Institute is extremely kid-friendly, interactive, and hands-on - highly recommended!
