I'm looking forward to waking up LATE! And not having to make the bus. I'm one of the lucky few that my girls and boys vacation overlap. And I'm so excited to sleep late (that probably means to 8;00am. ). To me, that is what vacation is all about!
What are you looking forward to?

I like to take my kids places. Even just a subway ride to the city. I love spending time with them that isn't routine.

That too! I also enjoy doing an outing and spending time with the kids. But I really enjoy that we do not have to live life rushing. We can do things at our own pace. I find the morning rush and evening crunch time so difficult on a typical school day. I'm looking forward to a slower pace on vacation.

I'm looking forward to the more chilled pace as well....no rush to get DD out in the morning, no need to stand at the bus stop (this morning was freeeeeeezing.....not having to do that for 3 days feels like Florida to me, right here in the warmth and comfort of my own home, no palm trees not withstanding!), no homework Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

I look forward to not having to wake up at 7 am to send the kids off.
I look forward to not have to cook dinner.
I look forward to not have to do laundry.
I look forward to not have to make beds in the morning.
I look forward to not have to serve dinner and clean up the mess
Oh.... and I look forward to that amazing massage appointment I have at the spa.
And... when my vacation comes to an end, I actually look forward to get back routine again.
I look forward to wake up at 7 am to send off my kids.
I look forward to cook dinner
I look forward to do laundry
I look forward to make beds in the morning.
I look forward to serve dinner and clean up the mess.
Because I thank Hashem for all the work he blessed me with.
And I still look forward for another massage.

Our midwinter break is over
Best parts:
Waking up later
No homework
Taking off from work
Less chaotic pace of life
Enjoy!!

I don't love going places. I'm a homebody in a major way.
But we did some fun stuff over vacation. And it was nice.

Yeah, I dunno, I guess Bklyn and Monsey are later? Cuz I know you're in Bklyn, and my friend in Monsey says her midwinter vacation starts the end of this week.
I thought "Yeshiva Break Week" was this whole week, no? I don't really know.

I know! I was so excited! And no projects that the kids are told "to do themselves without help" that the parents end up doing because they're way too complicated for the kids to do on their own!
Lol!

For me my absolute favorite parts of vacation are NO HOMEWORK and NO DRAGGING MY TWEENS AND TEENS OUT OF BED. Im lucky in that my boss lets me work from home. So I dont have to twist myself into a pretzel to make arrangements.
