Hi ladies!
So my grandfather recently passed away, and my husband and I would love to name our baby after him. He was born before WWII, and so here it goes...his first name was Adolf. He went by "Dolya" in Russian, and had no Hebrew name.
We're thinking of something with a combination of an alef, daled and lamed, preferably that starts with a daled, but not necessarily.
We're open to modern israeli names.
So far, here is the list...
Elad
Daveed
Daniel
Adam
Liad
Thank you!!

According to several baby name websites, adolf means noble wolf. You could always go with zev

Daniel is my all-time favorite name, with great nicknames - Danny, Dan, etc. I like it pronounced DAN-yel

I love the name Elad but only if you live in Israel. I think that non Hebrew speakers might have difficulty pronouncing it correctly
