I believe in structure ...
However we have neighbors who have every minute down to the T in a schedule and when they come play- they act so wild and unstructured. My kids have structure but not so rigid... they play nicely on their own even if there's "no schedule" .
So I'm confused about how much structure is good structure.

Because part of being a kid and learning about the world is testing limits. They can only do that if there are limits set.
They crave security, yet strive for autonomy.
Although I think you knew that OP, but you're frustrated. Give yourself a pat on the back that you are doing your best and your kids are normal kids.
