We have a shoe rack in the front closet that remains empty - apparently kids find it too hard to put their shoes on it. Anyone have a system that works?
My kids leaver their shoes Around, Shabbos and weekday and it annoys me/ any ideas?

What works best is a shoe/boot tray at the door.

I'm pretty strict about this, though apparently it's really really difficult to put the shoes ON the rack. So mostly the shoes are dumped right in front of it. But I do call them out on it and make them go back and put them in the rack.

I bought a box with a lid for them to chuck their shoes in when they walk in - kind of basketweave so doesn't smell with a lid so I dont see them. Only weekday shoes. It was worth it not to be arguing all the time.

near the door or in their room or wherever lol.
Supposed to put them neatly near the door or on the bottom of closets

We have a bench, meant for looking out the window. So behind the bench (between the window and bench)is where we dump the shoes. It looks all tidy when you walk in, no shoes strewn about.

They just toss them when they get in my the front door. I’m guilty too our shoe rack is empty until I tell everyone to put their shoes on it or take the shoes to their rooms.

Mat by the front door. I'd rather it be a little messy than having to always look for shoes when we're running out in the morning.
