I'm a speech therapist, and a lot of the kids on my caseload are African-American preschoolers with autism. Some use coconut oil in their braids/twists. I get on the floor and play with them, and we have a lot of fun developing play skills and language skills...BUT my tops keep getting ruined because the coconut oil gets rubbed into my clothes when we hug and snuggle, and is extremely hard to get out. I need suggestions of tops I can wear that won't get ruined! My skirts are long slinky skirts, but thicker and better quality than the Jewish brands (Kasper brand, currently on sale at Macy's, if anyone's looking for long skirts), and they don't absorb the oil. But all my tops seem to. I guess I'm looking for pretty durable synthetic fabric in the tops, but the tops still need to look cute. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions!!
I'm also considering getting a nurse's scrub jacket, to wear over my clothes.
All advice appreciated! Thanks!

Try soaking your tops in Dawn dish detergent before washing. If that doesn't get oil out, then I don't know what does.
If you like your slinky skirts, try to find some tops in travel knit material. I haven't seen any shells that are modest enough, but if you search around you may find something that will work.

Maybe get an apron type of thing to wear ontop of your clothes. Or have 2-3 designated tops to wear then.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions!
Re: moisture wicking shirts, are there any that look somewhat professional? Google is showing me very sporty ones.

Yup. Buy the ones that pediatric nurses have in the children’s ward at hospitals. They are so cute.
