Can anyone please recommend a pediatric audiologist in Lakewood for an 18 month old?

The early intervention therapists suggested that my baby have a full screening.

thanks in advance!

I am so nervous same thing with my 18 month old. Could it be a hearing loss
She passed her newborn hearing screening?

Btw, don't fret just yet. Even if there's an issue with hearing it could be simple fluid. Take things one step at a time.

Call your pediatrician - some are better then others and some drs would rather you go to specific ones. You may also need a referral from your pediatrician to go anyways.

(My son at 5 passed the hearing test at the dr. Doctor gave sent us for hearing test anyway. He only passed in the dr office because his hearing was so bad that the dr office couldn't pick it up. He couldn't hear anything but somehow was talking and reading well. b'H tubes fix his hearing loss. Problem is that tubes fall out. 5 years later he still hears great with tubes, horrible without....)

We use Advanced Hearing Center on Reagan Ct. Its in her house and she is very sweet and good with the kids. She came highly recommended.

My son with the hearing loss never has\had ear infections. He just has fluid build up that blocks his ear drum - but its not an infection.

To calm you down- My baby wasn’t speaking, or understanding me as much as he should.... so as I was starting early intervention I decided to go for a hearing test- I went to Dr Engel’s office to do a hearing test and then met with him after (used him in the past for tubes)
Son Ddnt pass the hearing test because of fluid in his ears!!! No ear infections only fluid- put in tubes and saw MAJOR improvement!!
