Target is selling a long black maxi skirt (cat & jack) for $15 right now. Bought for my daughter & it washes really nicely.

Try shopping in the junior's petite sizes. Nordstroms and Macy's have lovely things.

My 6 year old would trip on a maxi length skirt while running.
Junees, Lollypop, esteez, kalmodest, all would have below-the -knee tznius skirts for girls.
