b'Ezrat Hashem, Birkat haKohanim will be taking place on the third day of Chol haMoed, Sunday, Sept. 30. (Although traditionally this is held ont he second day of Chol haMoed, when the second day is Shabbat, the big Birkat haKohanim is pushed off to Sunday).

Shacharit morning services will begin at 8:15 a.m.

The first Birkat haKohanim, during Shacharit, will take place approximately at 9:00 a.m. Birkat haKohanim during Mussaf will take place at approximately 10:00 a.m.

There will be a dedication of a new Sefer Torah at the Kotel, donated by Jerome and Debbie Falic of Miami, which will begin at 10:15 a.m.

After the services, the chief rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Yona Metzger and the
Rishon LeZion, Rabbi Shlomo Amar, and the rabbi of the Kotel and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz will receive visitors at the Kotel Succa from 10:45 a.m. until noon.

Would anyone like to meet afterwards, around noon in Yerushalayim? There's a Sukkah made of candy on display in Kikar Safrah...

According to a friend who was in Kikar Safra today with her kids, there's a problem with the sukkah ("succa-riya"). It was poorly planned...and apparently it's made mostly of chocolate, which of course MELTS in the midday heat. So they're only putting it out every evening when it cools off.

I avoid the big birkat cohanim like the plague.
