I cannot remember whether we went as kids. My kids are ages 8, 10, and 13, and services are at 6pm. I just don't see how I can realistically take them (especially the younger ones) to shul, then feed them, and expect them to be in a good mood for shul in the morning.
What do you do?

My girls and I dont go at night on RH. We stay home and after the meal go to sleep at a reasonable time. We do go early in the morning and they can stay for as long or as little as they want. They are 10, 12, and 13.

I didn't grow up going on RH. I will be encouraging my daughter to go, as she often goes on shabbes night bh, but my older son is 6 and I won't be forcing him to go. My husband will decide if and when he goes. We have shofar at home.

All kids go where I live, many women too. I try to have everything prepared so I can go too, but I'm not always successful.

I would let my son who is almost 8 go with DH in the evenings. If he wants to go to shul I think its great why would I stop him?. My littler kids under 5 stay home.
