When you go out on Motzei Shabbos, say, to visit grandparents, do you dress your kids in weekday clothing or Shabbos clothing? Is it a do-whatever-you-want kind of thing or is there some kind of fine sensitive line?

I'd leave them in whatever they were wearing before. Why bother changing?

If I'm dressing them especially for the visit, I do a cross between Shabbos and weekday, similar to chol hamoed. For boys, that means white shirts and weekday pants and sweaters, and for girls it's a "better" weekday outfit. However, usually my boys are pretty clean by the time shabbos ends and they're already wearing shabbos clothes, so then I just dress my girls whatever.

Kids - usually just whatever they've been wearing unless it's really dirty.
Adults, usually change, unless we're leaving the house right after havdala.
I'm pretty sure that when my kids were younger (oldest were toddlers) I just put them in clean pajamas.

If it's just a visit, keep the Shabbos clothes on.
If it's an event, possible change depending on the occasion/venue when MS is longer.

When visiting family either they stay in what they're wearing or pj's and a hoodie.
For an event, weekday cloths.

Um yes. Till at least age 5 or 6. They still go out in their pjs at 10 and 12 because they wear sweatpants and tee shirts so it’s really just comfortable clothes.

Ruchal why can't you imagine pj's? It's not much different than leggings & tshirt. We go alot to malls on motzei shabbos, my kids are always in pj's and sweatshirts.
By pj's I obviously dont mean a nightgown or plaid flannels.

My toddler doesn't have it so good. Saturday nights in our family are not for going out so its pjs all the way.
